The Delaware State University Band is a comprehensive program dedicated to academic excellence, citizenship and musical development of its members. The band program has four components: marching band, concert band, jazz band and pep band. The Delaware State University band has gained both national and international acclaim, performing in England and the Netherlands and in the National Football League at Veterans Stadium, Ravens Stadium, JFK Stadium and the Pontiac Silverdome.

The Best Dressed Band in the Land plays all jazz and features a loud brassy sound that's meant to entertain the crowds at football games, not judges at a contest. Highstep squad drill makes for great visual shows. No flutes, clarinets, or color guard since they dont add much. We do have picc's. Clarinet players can learn sax or another instrument. We have a feature twirler, who is currently ranked 1st in the nation, and 3rd in the world.

This band has about 300 individuals at a college of only 3500. They have played at venues across the country, including halftime at the Atlanta Falcons vs. SF 49ers. They have incredible sound and fan base.
